Using Multi Cell Change in the Synoptix Client
The Multi Cell Change dialog box enables you to add, replace, or remove account numbers from either a selected range of cells or the entire report. It can be used with Accounting, Business Intelligence, Spreadsheet or Budget Cells. To use Multi Cell Change, select a range of cells, then right click and choose Multi Cell Change. You can also select the cells, click the Multi Cell button on the Edit Toolbar, and choose Multi Cell Change.
Multi Accounting Cell Change
Definitions
Add: Select this to add account number(s) to the selected cells.
Replace: Select this to replace old account number(s) with new account number(s) in the selected cells.
Remove: Select this to remove account number(s) from the selected cells.
New Account Number: Enter the new account number(s) you'd like to use in the selected cells.
Old Account Number: Enter the old account number(s) you'd like to have replaced with new account numbers.
Target Cells:
Currently Selected: Select this to change account numbers in only the selected cells.
All: Select this to change account numbers in all accounting cells on the report.
Test: Click to populate the Cell Change List with all cells that will be changed.
Change Cells: Click to change the cells.
Close: Click to close the Multi Cell Change dialog box.
Multi BI Cell Change
Definitions
Add: Select this to add account number(s) to the selected cells.
Replace: Select this to replace old account number(s) with new account number(s) in the selected cells.
Remove: Select this to remove account number(s) from the selected cells.
Criteria:
Field: Select the type of criteria you'd like to change.
New Criteria: Enter the criteria you'd like to add or replace in selected cells.
Old Criteria: Enter the criteria you'd like to have replaced by new criteria.
Target Cells:
Currently Selected: Select this to change account numbers in only the selected cells.
All: Select this to change account numbers in all accounting cells on the report.
Test: Click to populate the Cell Change List with all cells that will be changed.
Change Cells: Click to change the cells.
Close: Click to close the Multi Cell Change dialog box.
Multi Spreadsheet Cell Change
Definitions
Adjust Spreadsheet References:
Relative: Select to move the spreadsheet reference over by the number of rows and/or columns specified. For example: if currently referencing row 3, and you Adjust Reference Row By 1, row 4 will be referenced).
Absolute: Select to always reference the row and/or column specified in Adjust Reference Column By and/or Adjust Reference Row By. For example: if you select Absolute and enter 1 in Adjust Reference Row By, row 1 will always be referenced. If you enter the letter D in Adjust Reference Column By, column D will always be referenced.
Adjust Reference Column By: Enter the number of columns to adjust or the absolute column letter to reference.
Adjust Reference Row By: Enter the number of rows to adjust or the absolute row number to reference.
Target Cells:
Currently Selected: Select this to change account numbers in only the selected cells.
All: Select this to change account numbers in all accounting cells on the report.
Test: Click to populate the Cell Change List with all cells that will be changed.
Change Cells: Click to change the cells.

Multi Budget Cell Change
Definitions
New Account Number: Enter the new account number you'd like to use in the selected cells.
Old Account Number: Enter the old account number you'd like to have replaced with a new account number.
Target Cells:
Currently Selected: Select this to change account numbers in only the selected cells.
All: Select this to change account numbers in all accounting cells on the report.
Test: Click to populate the Cell Change List with all cells that will be changed.
Change Cells: Click to change the cells.
Close: Click to close the Multi Cell Change dialog box.
